Born outside of Philadelphia into a family of artists, I was raised to take a second look at the everyday. For me, painting is a way to appreciate and understand the world around me, be it something manmade or natural. I have a deep love for the city and the complicated assembly of the built environment, I also appreciate the natural world in its often surprisingly complicated manifestations. I studied at the Pennsylvania Acamdey of Fine Arts, Art Students League and Rhode Island School of Design. I live in Queens, New York City.
